• Substitute Teacher Registry
     
    Gratiot-Isabella Regional Education Service District has partnered with PCMI/WillSub to provide substitute teacher staffing management services to our local school districts, as well as our own organization. This includes registration, payroll processing and administrative reporting tasks.
     
    To register, go to www.pcmiservices.com. Click on 'Apply Now' on the PCMI Home Page to start the Substitute Teacher registration process.  A minimum of 60 semester hours of satisfactory credit (2.0 GPA or better) combined from one or more regionally accredited two- or four-year colleges or universities is required.  Click on 'Contact Us' at the bottom of the PCMI Home Page with questions.  
     
     
    As part of the registration process, pursuant to Michigan law, all substitute teachers need to have both State of Michigan and Federal Criminal History Background Checks processed.  GIRESD has the digital device to electronically scan and submit the fingerprints for processing.  Fingerprinting is done in our office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.  A picture ID/MI Driver's License and $55 (exact cash or check made payable to Gratiot-Isabella RESD) is needed at the time of fingerprinting.  Please call 989-875-5101 before coming to be sure the fingerprinting technician is available.
