Live United

Anne Steere, GIRESD Teacher Consultant, Hearing Impaired
Maggie Klumpp was awarded the Live United Award from the United Way of Isabella County on April 12, 2017. Maggie has volunteered for the last several years as a PEAK staff member after school and during the summer. She was nominated by the PEAK staff for her "outstanding performance and dedication to the program." She has assisted staff and students in many aspects of the program, including getting materials ready for projects, teaching weekly sign language lessons to staff and students, running errands for the staff in the building, and cleaning up at the end of the day. In Maggie's earlier years, she attended the Gratiot-Isabella RESD Deaf and Hard of Hearing program. Most recently she has attended the Mt. Pleasant Community Based Education classroom, while participating in activities with her friends in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing program. The staff of both programs are proud of her accomplishments!
