Approximately 2,200 students with an individualized education plan from our 9 local districts, 2 public school academies, and 10 non public schools are served by the Gratiot-Isabella RESD Special Education Department.  We provide assessment, therapy and/or consultative services for these students with unique learning needs.  A total of seventeen classroom programs located in the local school settings are also operated by the GIRESD, providing educational opportunities for students with more diverse educational and/or social-emotional challenges. It is our commitment to prepare all GIRESD students to reach their full potential.
