Attention Teachers!
It’s not too early to start planning for the December 3rd Student Technology Showcase at the Michigan State Capitol. Consider bringing a team of students to showcase how technology integration is supporting and enhancing student learning:

My Michigan Health put on a great "Home Run for Health, Health and Safety Fair "on July 31st at Wright Avenue Park in Alma for the community! The RESD hosted a table at the event that promoted movement and physical activity for all. The kids were able to take home their own personal pedometers that will track their steps throughout the day. Families received information on:
Goal setting in regards to movement as a family, the importance of physical activity and what it does for us, and how to sign up for the free at home physical activity program, InPACT at Home (https://inpactathome.umich.edu/). #GIRESDSupportingCommunity #GIRESDSupportingWellness

Our PE and Health Consultant, Josh Boutwell, recently had the chance to share some of the exciting work happening in our region at the Genesee County ISD Whole Child Summer Learning Series.
Josh presented on GCAMP (Gratiot-Isabella RESD Classroom Activity and Movement Program), a program focused on helping students stay active and engaged throughout the school day. He talked about how important movement is for the body and how GCAMP is being implemented in our region.
