Students and staff at Breckenridge had a chance to experience the REMC 5 Maker Materials with Joe Trommater and Duncan Gervin. Students were especially interested in the Van de Graaff generator, as it was cold enough to build up enough static electricity to light up a light bulb! To see the staff getting into the green screen, see this video: https://youtu.be/Y0nlmG0JTJw #REMC

Tracy Wood and Morgan Etzel, Mount Pleasant Local Speech Language Pathologists, and the Special Education Team at Ganiard Elementary School in Mount Pleasant collaborated to invite Mateo Moreno to speak with staff and students about what it's like to be an Augmentative and Alternative Communication user. Students had a chance to ask questions and share their ideas with Mateo. It was a great learning opportunity that fostered inclusion and curiosity in students and staff alike! Way to go, Tracy, Morgan, Ganiard Elementary, and Mateo!
